Great Graphics, colorful, not to squary. Couldn't be better (unless they get 3-D graphics for the gameboy). And the animations from Crystal are back.

Good GamePlay. A nice system of weaknesses and resistances makes it so there isn't a one best team. It takes awhile to train your Pokemon (especially if you use EV's). The Battle Frontier is by far the best addition it puts something in for casual and hardcore gamers alike.

A good story. This time around you face both team aqua and team magma. So your a kid trying become a legend and you run into and evil originations, and you stop them.

This is the only part of the game that falls short. Pokemon Emerald
1. The biggest change is the battle frontier.
2. You face both team aqua and team magma.
3. You can catch both Kyogre and Groundon.
4. You now have Green Clothes.
5. You catch the Regis differently.
6.You can rematch Gym leaders.
7. The Elite four and other trainers have different Pokemon.
8. Some Pokemon (like Medicham) aren't there. Some are in different areas.
9. If two trainers lock eyes with you it's a double battle.
10. You choose which Lati@s to catch.
11. You get to choose what tent you want.
12. Some ability's work outside of battle.
13. You can get a pichu with volt tackle.
14. You can pass on natures by giving the ♀ an everstone.
15. You get both Fossils.
16. The Altering cave appears.
17. You can get mew, Deoxys, Ho-oh, Lugia (no you still need to go to a promotional).
18. There are now move tutors.
19. The animations from Crystal are back.
20. There are now battle tents.
21. Deoxys is in it's speed form.
22. You fight Wallace's mentor for the 8th Gym and he moves on to be the Champion.
23. Different in game trades.
24. You team up with Steven and Later fight him in Meteor Falls.
25. You can now catch Ditto.
26. The sky pillar has lower level Pokemon.
27. Rayquaza is gotten before the Elite four.
28. You have the Wireless adapter (like in fire red/leaf green).
29. PP changes colors when it gets low.
Well that's it. It may sound like a lot but it's really not that much.

This is a great game but the problem is too many people own Ruby/Sapphire. If you currently own Ruby or Sapphire you might want to pass this one up. After all it probably would be boring to beat the same game all over again.
