How to catch mew on Yellow, Red, Blue.
This cheat has been tested and it works. You Don't need a
gameshark, you don't need to trade.
First off they are some trainers you need to battle, if you have
beaten all of them the code won't work.
This is a list of trainers. They must be able to see you from
all the way across the screen.

If you have sadly beaten all of trainers above you can ether start a new
game, or not get mew. (Note: if you have Pokemon Stadium, and a game pack you
can transfer your Pokemon to the boxes there. Then when you start a new game transfer
them back. That way you can keep all your old Pokemon.).
Here is how the cheat works
1. Train a Pokemon to where it's special stat is exactly 21 (you can
use Calcium found at Celadon mart to help you out.).
2. get a Pokemon with dig/escape rope, and a Pokemon with fly (in case you
didn't know HM 2 fly can be obtained at route 16 just above Cycling Road.).
3. Let's recap, your going to need a Pokemon with fly, a/an Pokemon with
dig/escape rope, a Pokemon with a special stat of exactly 21, an empty spot in
your party/box, a lot of balls (mew is easy to catch but it's better to play it
safe.).
4. Go to one of the Trainers mentioned above to where there barley off the
screen . Save here. (Don't battle them, if you do restart.)

5. Now as you take that one step quickly press start. The start menu should
pop up before the see you if it doesn't restart, it may take a few tries.
6. Fly to a Place with a trainer you haven't battle (any trainer). The
trainer you chose mentioned above should see you just as your flying.
7. Your start menu should now be disabled. Don't talk to anyone. Go to the
trainer, not to were your right in front of the trainer or your game will
freeze. Just be a few spaces away.
8. They should battle you, win. Your start menu should now be working
again.
9. Fly to a place with dittos (If your using yellow the only place is the
room in cinnabar were you get the key to Blaine's Gym.).
10. When you fight ditto switch to the Pokemon with the 21 special stat (or
just attack if you already have him out.). After ditto transforms into the 21
stat Pokemon you can ether finish the battle or just run away.
11. fly/dig/escape rope your way out before you run into any Pokemon
12. Go to the route with the trainer you flew away from (don't talk to
anyone, or get in a battle, or run into wild Pokemon.). Your start menu should
instantly pop up, when you close it mew should appear. It's on level 7 so it shouldn't
be that hard to catch. Remember, it's weak, don't attack it with high level
Pokemon, and don't risk a critical.
